I agree, might not follow the exact letter of the law or MoT rules, but at the end of the day, any car on the road only has to be legal for 45 minutes a year in the UK! |

That is true, but there is the issue of invalidating one's insurance if a pedestrian jumps out in front of said car and is ripped open by the bonnet motif. I know it's unlikely and I'm not normally so anal  but it's just an issue I'd thought I'd point out.
