MATTT, on my old Ami8, there were sections of A pillar which were like lace except where the Ziebart plug was, it'd basically protected about a square inch!

Nice to see you working through it though, as Neil says, Cedrat is a winning colour on any old Citroen.

Paint code for jaune cedrat is AC 331. Taken from Planet 2cv no.9 August-September 1999.

The code is sually stamped on a little dog tag on the bulkhead, if yours is a RHD ami (IIRC?) it'll be on the left hand side of the bulkhead (as you look at the car with the bonnet up) around the battery area somewhere.

Not quite on the same scale as some of your ones but when replacing the fan someone had swapped the bolt for a.n.other bolt meaning the fan rattled a bit. Cue a 70mph (ish) journey down the M1 and an almightly crunch!

The fan had worked it's way loose and disintigrated through the cooling fins. Oh boy what a mess. I think there might be some pictures on my facebook somewhere. I'll have a look later on.

It was a private bodger that'd done it not your favourite 2cv specialist, who I must say have always been very helpful to me and mum (I'm 25 why do I mention my mum everytime?!).

Saying that she did buy a £4k car (with chassis, floors and bulkhead being done) from them.

Sounds about par for the course.

I want to say thanks to Russ as my celebrated flexi-floor deuche now has its MOT (despite being tested by the same man who failed his Ami).
At last!
I really appreciate his ability to turn a real pigs ear into a silk purse (well, nearly).
But it does now feel wobbly over the bumps, though.
Surely just my imagination?
