Just as I expected I'm having trouble installing an avatar. Every forum seems to be different. It keeps saying the avatar must be 'between 0 and 6 KiB' which to me is as clear as mud. Can I just have some diemnsions to work to or if I post someone the avatar, can they reduce it and add it on for me please. Jeez, I've lived through farthings, groats, shillings, fathoms, hands, metres.........bloody pixels........now we have KiB. |

It's fairly straightforward, Paul. 200x200 pixels max, maximum file size 6k. <shrug> If you have a look at the file on your machine, through My Computer or whatever, it tells you what the file size is. |

Fairly straightforward, hmm? I've tried reducing the image I have to 200x200 but it still comes back with the '0-6 KiB' message. The place I keep images says 640x480(VGA) or 320x240(QVGA) or % x % or pixels. The pixel option failed. I've added it here as an attachment as Max has offered to 'glue it on' for me. Thanks Max. (Slaps forehead in frustration).

Well a PARAMOUR is a lover and PARRAMORE is an American rock band (so I'm told). Either way, I'm flattered. My Concise Oxford English Dictionary doesn't list emotastic[b][/b] so I'm not as dumb as I look. Thanks Max, you're a gent. |
