Tell you what chaps, it'd be a piece of p**s to make your own fan-assisted heating system using computer cooling fans. They're 12 volt, they run pretty fast, dead quiet and they're mounted in a nice square housing onto which it would be easy to fit tubular inlet & outlet stubs to fit in the cardboard heater tubes. Proper job & cheap as chips. Might try that. Would have been bloody useful with the weather we've been having lately! Brooky.

I don't think these fans would be much good for heating as they don't have enough power force a lot of air down a tube. However they are great for demisting the rear windscreen. I have arranged 5 of the 50mm ones in a strip and they are great at providing enough airflow so the rear screen does not mist or ice up*. They only take 1 amp for all 5 so much less power than a heated rear screen. * Tested to -23.1c on Raid Poronkusema. The rear door and 3rd windows would ice up inside but the rear screen was clear.
