Yep. Followed it down the A5 recently. Was going a bit too fast... slowed down very sharpish when I realised what it was, and that it had a video camera pointing at me through the rear window!

Also, watch out for anonymous looking Vectras in the n. Worcs area.

The consensus of opinion about unmarked police cars seems to be this:

If you are pulled over by what seems to be an unmarked police car with blue flashing lights behind the grille, pull over as soon as it is safe to do so and keep your car engine running and in first gear, handbrake on. Lock all the doors and wind up all the windows except for the driver's glass - this should be kept open enough to allow conversation with the person who approaches the car. Keep an eye on your rear-view mirror to see what's happening in the police car. If it's genuine, just one officer should approach you while the other stays in their car and checks your car's details. Once the officer is at your window, ask to see his identification. He must oblige. If not, he's not a genuine cop, so pull away immediately, dial 999 and tell the operator what's happening. If the police officer's identification seems genuine, but you are still wary, ask him to lead you to the nearest police station or nearest brightly-lit and heavily-trafficked area, such as a busy petrol station. He should once again oblige if he's genuine. If not, ask him to wait while you dial 999 and ask the operator if they can verify the officer's name and number and that he is driving an unmarked car. Don't take any chances, especially if you are driving an expensive car and/or are on a dimly-lit stretch of road, even a motorway. Nobody passing will be interested in a police stop, will assume it's the real thing and won't be of any help if the 'cops' are actually villains.

Jack.

You're probably better off not stopping and turning it into a bit of a chase. If your driving is exciting enough you might get on one of those 'police camera accident' programs.

Not recommended in France, they have guns and they do use them.

Do you still get £250 for every clip they use?
