 Re: The O/T thread! do we recon a 2cv could pull that boat? that is me on the mower, its only 8hp and that rib weighs 1 ton (actually weights a ton not just saying the expression!)

i tryed to get my 2cv up car ramps on the drive, smelt the clutch then!!

Re: The O/T thread! James, just in case it was a serious question - and you ain't just yanking our chains - provided you drive constantly in 1st gear and do not exceed around 10mph then, yes, a 2CV will pull that boat.
And that's only until you (a) reach a mild gradient or (b) bump in to the local bobby...

its not my boat anyway
just used that mower to pull boats in and out the water, had a hitch on the front, had it in the sea, engine just touching the water, never missed a beat! briggs and stratton for you! until one day the gear box blew into pieces, not bad for a free bee!
