It drove past me again going the opposite direction as I was walking home. PDN 245T.

I think that might be my blue Drummer's sister car. I'm not certain, but that number rings a bell. If it is that one, it was done up by the same chap who did mine in the early '90s. Like mine, it sported marine ply floors and a sill/crossmember arrangement made up from old bed frames. It resurfaced for sale a few years ago, in Derby. I went to look at it, but didn't buy. It cropped up again on eBay somewhere down south few months later.

Of course, I might be talking about a totally different car - my inbuilt registration number recollection system not being as good as Neil's...

So, sitting in my office when I hear a 2cv engine, saw from the window it was a different one to yesterday so prompty skipped 2 flights of stairs, through a galler and a play group to the main doors to see:

And had a nice chat with the owner. She's local, not a club member but loves her car. She was a member until about 3 years ago and skipped all her old mags last week :(

Did anyone see Raymond Blanc's cookery program last night? Very nice grey 2CV with rectangular lamps. Also seems to be in an Ami in future episodes.

I can't decide whether the 0.5 second shot of him driving is in an ami or a DS.

It's looks like a DS to me. It seems that the grey 2cv he's driving is his own. Also, at the end of the programme was a clip of next week's show, in which a green 2cv was parked behind him. In the pic on the show's website he's with a maroon and black Charleston...

I think you're right, It's been a while since I drove an Ami8 but it just doesn't look right for one.
