I think what I really mean is - I wish I hadn't sold my Ami.....I miss it dearly

It whizzed passed me this morning as I walked to my Grandad's place.

Has she got her proper over-riders back? how is she? does she talk about me ever? is she happy?

Aaaaaargh ...

On a related note, I've just been offered my old Ami (Russ's "Ricard" van) back for two grand. Given that this is four hundred quid more than I sold it for, and given that I dropped about two grand on the Land Rover that replaced it, I haven't accepted. I was tempted, but even for someone as financially clueless as I am that was a step too far.

I NEVER EVER EVER referred to it as a 'she' until that post - nor did I give IT a name, but once I started with the whole 'pretend it's an ex-girlfriend' thing and I had to go with it.....

That red Ami6 is posted a thread to above is 1700 and looks to be in as good a shape as Ricard...

there actually seems to be quite a few 6's for sale at the moment - just need one conveniently parked up in Calais / Cherbourg / Roscoff...!!

Does look nice, long way away though. It'd be a 1400 mile round trip for me! That, plus ferry costs (with a trailer, too) makes it a bit pricey. I've more or less decided to stick with the Dyane for now anyway ... it's about time I kept a car for more than six months.

It didn't sell on a 10day auction but it did have 40+ watchers.

Rather nice Dyane at £6 000, give or take ... my first reaction was "fuck me, how much??", but then I looked at the pictures and read the description. It does look nice.

 RT - that's how good the Beige Beast could be - and it has far less miles on it! I'll send you my demand for the other £5000 shortly
