Well yeah, you could wait until it's rotten and knackered and totally out of mot and tax, then find some 'tard with a nice merc who'll do you a swap.

P50s normally sell for around £25,000.

If you want to see an ebay pisstaker, look no further.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-ESCORT-MK2-1 ... 3cae52995c

This guy must be the Escort equivilent of the bloke who was selling a ropey 2cv chassis for £1500...

Yep, those Escorts do fetch rather a ridiculous amount of money these days. And there are plenty being converted into RS1600s/2000s right now. You can see why: http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/cla ... arno/76205

There's plenty of stuff exchanging for silly money: http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/cla ... arno/98175

Makes me think beauts like this are a bargain: http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/cla ... arno/94404

But why? That's what I can't understand. F*ck all this 'market forces' tosh, because in reality all you're getting for your 25k is a little plastic car with a lawnmower engine. It's like selling you a tent for more than the price of a mansion.

Speculation makes fools of everyone, it's like the Dutch tulip bulb bubble of the seventeenth century all over again. :|

Oh, and I know some folk will draw comparisons to our own cars and the direction they are going but at least our cars were useful.

I saw a comment about 'Only 20 left' or something like that in relation to the P50 and all I could honestly think was "Good!"
