Russ' old one.

I'd buy that back again tomorrow ... but not for £3 000. I sold it for £1 600 and all that's happened to it is another MOT and the windows refitted. I wish I'd never sold it! It's on my ebay watch list. Anyone want a drum brake Dyane?

Is the dyane the cote d azur? What you asking for it? Year, mot, pics etc.

Not the Cote, no. It's a 1976 drum braker in a seventies-tastic shade of beige with a lovely brown interior. I'd stick a new MOT on it, but it's MOT's till May. It might be for sale if someone makes me the right offer, but I won't be opening the bidding for the Ami at £1400 more than I sold it for!

Booooo, no more Ricard service :(

It was a lot cooler when it was a van. Still a good looking car though.

Yup. Shame really. I don't know where people get the cheek to add 1k to a car that, from what I can see, is in a slightly worse condition to when you and Russ had it? Maybe add a couple of hundred quid if they'd done a bit of work on it and kept it looking like it did, but they still seem to be using the work you did (two years ago now?) as a selling point?

And all I did was make it roadworthy by changing the gearbox and tidying up some loose ends under the bonnet. Effectively, what he's saying is "Ami for sale. Has working gearbox". :D Like you say, if he'd spent a grand tidying up the bodywork I could understand the price increase.

It looks almost exactly like it did when I bought it. I paid a grand. I wouldn't want it back though, bin there, dun that, although I'd happily break it for its engine and stereo. That engine went like a cut cat.

I wouldn't buy it back, but that doesn't mean I'm glad I sold it. I agree about the engine, I've never been dragged along by a better one.

Client told me today that he had seen my Dyane on Leboncoin so rushed home - on first sight it does look like it (thought it was another scam) http://www.leboncoin.fr/voitures/419811700.htm?ca=4_s
