'Tis the Butty Run on Sunday... though I am without the van until Monday, and will be in Leicester til midday on Sunday anyway - no reason for you not to go though? I'm hoping to be at a few more next year :)

Took the missus to the local garage to pick up her Fiesta.

She says "turn the heater on".

"Eh"?

"TURN THE HEATER ON"

"Oh, it is on, just that the lever keeps jumping back to cold".

"Well turn the fan on then; it's really cold"

"The fan's always on, it's connected to the engine"

"How can you see out of the windscreen, it's all misted up"?

"I'm using the Force to guide me"

.......

"It's even rusty inside this thing"

"Can you open your window, I need the glass to clear a bit"

"FFS so not only is it cold wet and rusty in here now I have to open the window too"

"Yes please.......I love my van"

Silence for the next 20 minutes.....golden

Took stuff to the lockup (still trying to clear out the garage).

Pulling in the drive after trip 1 and the motor cuts out, I knew I should have fitted that ECAS special coil, so thus prompted I fitted the thing.

Trip 2 was more exciting, motor cut out on the way home, investigations reveal no fuel exiting from the pump. Returning to the lockup and retrieve a stationary engine tank and various bits of fuel pipe, carry the whole lot back up the road to the van and rig up a gravity feed petrol tank:

Then drove home.

S'funny I bought a replacement pump from eBay not 2 weeks ago as the price was right, so this evening has been spanner twiddling again to fit it.

So the Acad's back in fighting fit form.
