 Re: Fastest 2cv
I could get into this discussion - DREAM - 2 small turbos (one for each cylinder) boost at around 1.2 bar, fuel injection, 1-2 spark and hold your foot to the floor........................

 Re: Fastest 2cv
My make 70hp at 6600rpm with 0.8 bar pressure. And I have "only" run 40000km. with this set up. The times I've run drag race I have changed gear at 7200rpm. (limiter is set to 7500rpm) I run with 2cv gearbox with Dyane diff, and 135/70 * 15 tires.

 Re: Fastest 2cv
@ Russel I will come back on this, do you come to 24h of Spa?? Maybee you can bring it with you?? @Chris I have been thinking too about 2 small turbo's feeding 1 intercooler and 1 / or 2 throttlebodys 2x Turbo IHI RHB31 http://www.chinese-parts-canada.com/turbocharger_fuel_injection.html@Lars. Driving my turbocar on daily bases I have also .8 bar of boost but I don't think I have 70 hp.. It feels like 55 hp to me at 6500 rpm.... Once I've turned it up and I went over 1.5 bar of boost at 6500rpm and yes it will do the 70 hp at ease then.... But I managed to blew up my turbo housing of my Smart turbo, so not good..... The (older smart turbo's) have issues with cracking the turbohouse (outletmanifold) anyway....... It also was pinking all over the place at that moment....... despite having the ignition retarded to about 20 degrees....... But the power then develloped by the little engine was almost freightend to me!!!!!! So I'm sure with no boost and revlimiter (disconnecting the hose to wastgate) and retarding ignition to 15 degrees and well over 7000 rpm we will get more then 75hp (for a short moment) and then creating a big bang

It is the one Burton sell also for big profit to them..... I have ordered my boost control valve and will set it to 0.8bar to start..... More POWER

 Re: Fastest 2cv
I have not made plans for Spa but I would like to come so if I do I will bring a surplus engine as long as you promise to get achieve 90mph/145kph with it before it explodes, and you must promise to post photos of what's left...

I can't promise you 145 kmh. I can promise you several runs on a dynobank (thats on me then) putting at least 70 hp out of it and a big bang (almost want to say I hope it will be a big bang) Have already contacted a dynobank about an hour drive of my home, they charge about 75 euro's for an hour. (didn't tell about the big bang ofcourse.) And it will be video-documented ofcourse......

 Re: Fastest 2cv
Geo if you have a date book me an hour also at the same time. --- Hopefully mine will not be big bang As an aside - mine as it is does 135kph on the flat which equal 6500rpm in 4th so getting 145 on a dyno is 7250 rpm. Should not be a problem. There are people on here that say they can get that out of their N.A 2cv down hill..

 Re: Fastest 2cv
I put my tachometer in this week and 7250 is pretty easy, but only downhill in 4th and I've not hooked my satnav up so I don't know how fast that was. I've got 155/65 tyres and they're quite a lot smaller than normal 2cv tyres. The best satnav recorded speed I've managed was 86.6mph on these tyres in that red special I had.

 Re: Fastest 2cv
I will place a bet now that it'll go to 7750rpm before it stops.
