Gone already, not surprised either. However, here's a proper ripple up for grabs:

I always reckon they look so much better with the ripple bonnet, far more in keeping with the rest of the design methinks.

 Blimey that's an early one. Complete with AK2 engine if it hasn't been changed and early dash, can't be all that many of these left :ugeek:

£25.

I fitted a coil that looks identical to that to Kim's car, a little over a year ago. It was NOS from ebay and wasn't sold as being for a 2CV. It also only cost a fiver! ;)

Presumably because it was intended for a different application, the HT leads on mine weren't long enough to comfortably reach. I cut them off a couple of inches from the coil, soldered the 'nipples' from a couple of spark plugs on, and used a standard pair. The funny LT "flyleads" weren't a problem for me because I was fitting a Lumenition system at the same time.

We had one fairly unpleasant misfiring problem in *extremely" heavy rain and spray on the M5 earlier this year, and I'm not sure whether that was down to moisture on the Lumenition sensor, moisture on the LT wiring, moisture on the HT leads (for 'standard leads', read 'ancient leads' ;) ), the fact the spark plugs were completely knackered, or just water in the carb! When I got home, I replaced the plugs, removed all the water and covered everything in vaseline and/or insulation tape, where appropriate, and the problem has not reoccured.

Apart from that little incident, it's performed faultlessly for us, has survived the Lumenition (which in my experience tends to kill off slightly iffy coils), and has improved cold starting and traffic jam reliability no end. Having said that I think Wiltz bought one from the ebay listing which failed very quickly, so perhaps there is a variation in quality, and I was lucky!
