was looking at the new plate, as ive fitted it, the font is the exact same as my original, and the original is the original !! how weired, maybe the guy did it in the same font?
i dont know!!
incidently, for an mot, if you have a tow bar fitted and the eltrics, do they test the eltrics?

Are you sure it's *exactly* the same font? The newer one is almost exactly the same as the old one, except it's very slightly narrower.

Tow bar electrics are not testable. The MOT regulations are online; go read them...

ive read the regs,. but cant desiphar something. on my new plate, the holes go through the letters, now am i write in thinking that it should have black studs, as the studs are whitte, now is this a fail or adviser?? im going to colour them in with permenant marker if the local plate man cant come up with the goods

You're over intellectualising this. It is just an MOT. Unless the screws are deliberately placed to alter the meaning of the number plate no one is going to be in the least bit interested. If your car has

No structural rust

No big chips in the windscreen directly in the driver’s line of sight

Legal tyres

Functioning brakes and no rusty (to excess) brake pipes

Decent exhaust

Working lights

Working horn

Working wipers and washers

Freshly greased non fubarred kingpins

Half decent wheel bearings

No sharp edges

Working seat belts without cuts

Then it’ll pass; the MOT is a minimum standard. It really isn't that hard to pass.

no i know i was only asking as it didnt say and i wasnt sure (first time ive taken a motor for a ticket) so not sure what to exspect really,

well my exhaust is new, blows a tiny bit out of one of the joins but such as life

Which joint? A good quick fix is to undo the joint and smear coppaslip around the clamp. This seems to stop exhausts blowing, but don't ask me why it doesn't just burn off ...
