 Re: this years MOT questions
Are you sure it's *exactly* the same font? The newer one is almost exactly the same as the old one, except it's very slightly narrower.

Tow bar electrics are not testable. The MOT regulations are online; go read them...

 Re: this years MOT questions
ive read the regs,. but cant desiphar something. on my new plate, the holes go through the letters, now am i write in thinking that it should have black studs, as the studs are whitte, now is this a fail or adviser?? im going to colour them in with permenant marker if the local plate man cant come up with the goods

It is just an MOT. Unless the screws are deliberately placed to alter the meaning of the number plate no one is going to be in the least bit interested. If your car has No structural rust No big chips in the windscreen directly in the driver’s line of sight Legal tyres Functioning brakes and no rusty (to excess) brake pipes Decent exhaust Working lights Working horn Working wipers and washers Freshly greased non fubarred kingpins Half decent wheel bearings No sharp edges Working seat belts without cuts Then it’ll pass; the MOT is a minimum standard. It really isn't that hard to pass.
