Yes, that could be right up my street. And I could buy that and get it on the road well within my £1000 budget if the bidding doesn't get silly. My first ever 2cv was a tropical blue special so it's a endearing colour to me!!

Get a known carb that works, stick it in a ruck sack, get train to car, hand over money, fit carb, drive it to previously booked local test centre, get train home, pick up when MOT'd. Piece o'piss!

 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
Can't post a link cos I'm on the I pad, but I see caravan Tony is selling a car trailer which he says weighs under 720kg including the car so is legal for young people to tow I hope he realises in his description he is mis leading the law on towing, it's not done on the weight but the gross weight. Sonic it weighs 720 but the gross weight of the trailer is 1 tonne, then it is seen as weighing a tonne. Loaded or un loaded, and so you won't get pulled to a weighing bridge to see the weight. They look at the plaque and use gross weight as 'the actual weight'.
That aside, the towing limit for people who passed there test after jan 1st '97 isn't 750 kg, it's a MAM (max authorised mass) of 4250kg. So translated, you can drive a vehicle that weighs 2 tonne, and tow 2 t. You are allowed to tow anything equal or less than the weight of that car without a trailer liscense, so long as it meets the following criteria 1. No more than 4250kg 2. The trailer isn't a braked trailer
It's a complete arse that area of licensing as it's very uncleAr I did my test in the summer and can tow total of 7.5 tonnes (incl vehiclen:D)

 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
I seriously don't want to be anywhere near a 17year old driving a vehicle and trailer weighing 4250kg that is unbraked.
Actually, having seen a lot of 17year olds driving around here, it wouldn't matter if it was braked or unbraked. Scary thought.
