was it in france? It was particularly clear to me where it was - the blurb "PLEASE BARE IN MIND THE COST OF BRINGING THIS HOME FROM FRANCE" (sic) might have been more sales patter (look how cheap it is, and it's in the uk!) rather than a 'if you buy this you've got to get it back too'. If it was over here, then I think that's a good price for something a resto project. Just the wrong side of four figures for me though.

Oh yeah, now you mention it! Doh! I feel a bit silly now! And looking at this pic of another total resto job that they're flogging (£1200 for a wreck!) alongside the van, it's definitely in the UK:

 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
I wonder if that is actually 1973? The number plate is just propped up, i think it should have the stainless trim with 'Citroen' script above it, it has a stainless rear bumper instead of a painted one, shouldn't the door handles be of he 'upturned' variety, or is it around the time of the change? The boot handle should be of T shaped rather than a push button & the boot badges are wrong too - and not in the right place anyway.

 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
^^ serious knowledge Neil!
Whats the towbar mounted to? Can't work it out, looks like a large extension to the rear of the chassis?

 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
I'm pretty sure that most towbars are bolted to the chassis. As for the door and boot buttons, they changed in '72 so would be plastic, and it would be a push button on the boot. The dash if you can get hold of a picture will be brown, and it'll have a later (one spoke) steering wheel. But the grille should still be metal (if fitted ).
