http://www.2cvtv.com/forsale/forsalepics6269.html low mileage red & white, seems a bargain - deserves to find a decent home

Looks okay in the photos but, I would still expect MOT and tax for that price..............

When he says "Obviously, she* isn't MOTd but passed fine in 2006", I thought, at that price, obviously it would be MOTd! Mind you, it's not as though the entire underside could've dropped out in 5 years or anything is it? ;) I remember fitting new chassis on 12 month old late 80s cars!!!

*Sean, you have my permission to track this person down and stomp on his kittens if he has any-he clearly deserves it!

Completely original down to the chassis and with only 10k miles and you reckon £2k is too much? Imagine how 'tight' she'll feel (no inappropriate comments, thank you) with all the barely-used suspension parts? A whine-free gearbox - what a treat! And I'll lay odds that the engine is completely tight too (no, I don't mean seized...). Bodywork with no welding or filler.

C'mon...

If it were close enough, I'd snap it up.

Yes DA, I think it's too much just on the basis of mileage and no welding or filler as of yet.

If it's that good, why don't they put an mot on it? I refer you to my earlier comments, it may have gone through an mot without any problems or rot 5 or 6 years ago but that means just about jack shit now-just look at Nelsthebass' lads car, waxoiled to within an inch of its life but just failed its MOT on chassis rot and I'd lay odds that was spotless just last year.....

Thanks for cheering me up Spanners.....Dont think for one moment 10K miles means no whining gearbox - BB had only 10K on it and still whines despite new oil etc. The suspension is a revelation in comparison to high mileage, much younger, cars though.

Absolutely fair points, Spanners. My comments are entirely based on a chassis and body panels that need no welding. In which case, that car is a steal.

Otherwise, tho'... :(
