yeah i had a good look at the photos last night - no way that's the original paint. either that or the owners only transported cotton wool in the boot and never took the floor out, as there's not a single mark on the inner wings....you'd definitely need a magnet whilst assessing this car!!!!


In theory (at least) all you need to do is ask for details about its condition, including anything that gives concern or raises suspicion; has the interior been resprayed/ any filler used on the body/etc. If they (and this applies to private sellers too) claim it's all original and you later find out it isn't, then you have legal grounds to claim against them - and you'd win. Even private sellers must describe their car honestly - you just need to cover yourself by asking the right questions and get the answers in writing.

is this abit overpriced for a 2cv with not tax or mot, needs king pins and welding? :roll:

If that's a genuine mileage, then - with a galv chassis and a generally tidy body - probably not.

A bit of welding and a couple of king pins - both very cheap for someone with the ability - and it'll double in value. And probably more... :(
