 Plymouth XNR concept car. The car represents the genius of the head of design at Plymouth’s parent company Chrysler, Virgil Exner – hence the XNR title. Ultimately, the project did not go into production and the XNR was shipped back to Carrozzeria Ghia in Italy, where it was built. The car’s power comes from a 350bhp version of the Valiant 225 slant six engine. The unique car was owned by the Shah of Iran before it ended up in the hands of teenage Lebanese car collector, Karim Edde, in 1980. He held onto the two-seater before having the car fully restored in 2008, prior to sending it to auction in the USA. Sold for £600,000. More pics here.

 had a Lada estate once bruilliant until you tried to drive it - "Binary" controls for throttle, brake and clutch "Fuzzy Logic" for the steering water soluble alloy for the brake calipers
