Re: 2CVs on TV I don't remember the ad, though I do remember the slogan/tagline and I remember the red 2cv with the P&O flag roof, but I think maybe just from adverts in magazines or something?

Re: 2CVs on TV The Great Gonzo drives an american spec Méhari in the Muppet Movie. A fitting car for him really. He collides with Fonzi and Kermit driving Fonzi's Studebaker and it ends up upside down on top of the Studebakers roof! You can even see the 'batteurs' behind the wheels. (Watching excellent films like this is what happens when you have kids...)
