Post Re: The O/T thread!
Thanks, I think I've sussed it although with no brakes I can't really get it up to any speed. I've had a good look at it this week and I think I'm going to sell all of my worldly possessions to do a half decent job of it.

Here's an interesting question, is there such a thing on the market as a 12v fuel cut off? Something like a soledoid operated tap? I've had a brief google search but can't seem to find anything that does the job. I want to replace the fuel tap on it with one that closes the fuel off when the ignitions off.

Most modern motorbikes use a vacuum operated tap, they have a pipe to the inlet manifold so that the tap is opened when the engine is running and also a 'prime' position for when the carb has been drained. Any use?

I guess that would work, although it doesn't really have an inlet manifold, the carb bolts to the crankcase. I'll have a look and see if there's a possibility of tapping into it, as that sounds like a nice solution.

JW, it has a fuel tap which I keep forgetting to turn off, hence my interest in an automatic means of doing so.
