Spot on Russ, our 2cv business is expanding (not quickly) with new customers weekly either buying parts to keep their cars on the road or new folks getting in to the scene. Plenty of old 2cv's sleeping around the country side are slowly but steady coming back to life. Long live the deuche http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTv_m9liAa8

 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
That's what I thought!! Maybe someone thought it would be good to add the straw to give it that certain "dans son jus" authenticity. Bit like putting fresh-baked bread and fresh coffee on (ffs!) before someone comes round to view a house you're trying to sell.

 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
FFS, a Cocorico selling for 11,500euros!! It's only a standard 2cv-6 Special with a bit of red and blue on the sides! Where do they get these prices from? http://www.leboncoin.fr/voitures/145530781.htm?ca=5_s

 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
Feels like there's a bubble-thing going on... perhaps there's a certain brutal-recession-back-to-basics-we're-all-poor-shabby-chic-vibe doing the rounds. The world's all out of love for big bully cars (SUVs) and maybe the little old 2CV is getting its 10 mins of trendiness. Also, the vast majority of the last people to have 2CVs as their first car will be in their mid-30s by now, so they'll be getting to the points in their careers where a) they have some disposable and b) they are getting nostalgic = perfect recipe for a bubble!
