That's just a bit of pentatonic minor noodling

there is a phrase you don't come across every day. Tried it in Wiki but no definition. Found plenty of examples on YouTube so get the drift now. I wish I could pentatonic minor noodle

That's what I mean .. it's impressive when you're not a musician, but as soon as you are, it ceases to be impressive, thereby spoiling live music.

Frank Zappa once said something like "there is a big difference between good noodling and bad noodling"

.....but then he also said there was a big difference between "kneeling down and bending over" :o

....cancel my previous comment...I going to put some Frank Zappa on !

PS - There is no such thing as a pentatonic minor scale - the pentatonic "scale" exists on its own basis, it can not be either major or minor !

It is just pentatonic !

;)

Indeed....and sorry for that !

But just to round this up.....

Take for example the black notes on a piano they represent the pedantic...I mean pentatonic scale. Many tunes can be played using those notes only, that shows the pentatonic scale.

Next time you are faced with a piano keyboard, have a mess around on the black notes...!!

I know very little about 2CV mechanics and welding, but music theory questions are welcome and happy to share if needed....It is one thing I have a bit of experience and the odd qualification in and happy to share.....

.....back to radio 4 extra....Sid James is on soon !!!

youv'e blown my party piece. on the left of the piano play dum dum dum and then with the other hand rattle the black keys near the middle

and you get bagpipe music on the piano
( im as musical as Jordan is modest)

If any of you are ever tempted to curse the limited access to certain nuts and bolts on your A series, don't. At least not until you've started to remove the engine on a 40 year old Land Rover. Jesus. I mean, everyone says Land Rovers are easy to work on, but the people who say that have obviously never worked on a 2cv.
