The Dellow is a 'special' Louise, built in the 1950's/60's, originally from one of these. I wonder if that's what made me think about a 2cv version?

The Ford 103e Popular was a cheap, austere, no frills motor that had a separate chassis and was produced in very large numbers. It was a pre war design that was still in production way beyond it's time, the only British car still to have separate headlamps... sound familiar?

I hadn't thought about the forward engine position of the 2cv though which would indeed mess up the proportions as stated. With 2cv bodyshells getting rarer and more expensive, yet chassis and engines still being plentiful you have to explore the options I suppose.
