Only this morning completely out of the blue I was wondering to myself what the possibility would be of building a Dellow replica, but using the 2cv motor and running gear. If the above pic is the answer then my interest has just been stillborn. Btw a Dellow looks like this.....

 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
That Dellow's nice, that is.
The biggest problem with trying to build an old style replica with a 2cv donor is that the engine sits in front of the front axle, whereas 20s and 30s style cars tend to have the radiator grill level with the front axle. Putting the grill 2 foot forward of the axle mucks up the proportions, and you're on to a looser from the start.
I've seen one car that looked ok however, it had put the engine back to front in the back, and hidden it with a dummy fuel tank. It still had a gearbox in the front in order to mount the brakes, but it had been turned back to front and upside down, and stuck out under the radiator to look like a faux supercharger. I haven't got a picture but it was at Spa last year.

 Re: Leboncoin/eBay finds
I defy anyone who thinks they can take one of these... ...take it apart, make new bits out of plastic or bits of metal, lash it together and make it look as nice/be as useful as this: "specials" only ever get results like this:
