Good work that man! A couple of suggestions - maybe a page showing what was going on in the mag 10, 15, 20 years ago etc (a reprint of an article or photos or something) or as Terry suggest a summary of what went on that year.

How about resurrecting the 'profile page' - in the 80s the mag used to feature a regular biog of various club members (committee and other key people). Not sure if you could allow that now but it did give you an idea of who was who.

I'm fed up with the excessive 'what a lovely time we had in France with nobby the D*lly' tosh too, but I guess these days you have to appeal to a broader/blander audience.

I'll be tempted to send in some copy again too, something that I haven't done for yonks.

Oh, and time to change the back cover advertiser ;)

I'm up for a profile page - committee members, intereting people, specialists, anyone interesting.

I also like the historic article idea and doing featured cars.

Simon - might have to take you up on that!

PLEASE flood me with copy - Ill need a reason not to print the 'Molly the D*lly goes on holiday' crap.

It's not yet a done deal - people can vote against me!

But fingers crossed!

They don't get the space for free and as I recall they pay up front unlike a lot of advertisers who have to be chased hard for the money. Perhaps that has now changed but it certainly used to be the case.

Appreciate that but I was more meaning maybe something to allow a rotation of advertisers. Possibly an upper limit of how many months in advance space can be booked up for. Regular advertising revenue cannot be sniffed at but it's just a thought.

More fun, somehow it has the feel of being written by and for pensioners, but maybe that is the reality - has the average 2CV driver aged ? I would think so as they're no longer cheap. ( the cars that is, the drivers probaly are) Though I laughed at the recent letters slagging off someone for wanting to put a BMW engine in their car, and the northern person who was rude about southerners. how outrageous !
I joined 2CVGB in the Bev Abbot era, found it a bit spiky - even then there were complaints about a lack of technical content. But these days I would have thought there is potential for even more technical content, as home rebuilds are for many the only cost effective way of keeping a car on the road. Perhaps a taster of such work in the magazine with links to detailed accounts on the website - away from the ever drifing threads. Hey multi platform content, and make it available as a download.

Make it a 2 monthly mag, then make it an A4 magazine with lots more interesting shite in it.

I've suggested that Max, we'll put it to the committee. I have my first induction meeting in 2 weeks!

I disagree here on both counts
The magazine needs to be out every month to keep up to date with all the goings-on and its current size is perfect for all sorts of reasons, not least that it fits through the letterbox without being bent or folded, as is the practice with Parliamo, the Fiat Club mag :(

I would like to see more racing articles, maybe a proper section similar to the Registers pages, concerned with the whole of the 2CV Racing Club, and maybe some overseas stuff, especially the 'custom' side of 2CVing... (oh, and drop the crossword)

It will be interesting to see how it develops - I remember the early versions, with hand-drawn illustrations, typed articles and thick (not glossy) paper... It really is at its best now, so let's not be too drastic with any changes
