I have to admit total defeat in trailer reversing. I always end up in a mess and unhitch it and end up pushing it around....

......good job Ive only got a small one.....err.....trailer...I mean ;)

In reality big trailers are much easier to reverse than small ones. I used to be able to reverse a tri axle two car recovery trailer into a garage, yesterday I got into a right mess reversing my box trailer behind the Acadiane. It reacts too quickly to every twitch of the steering wheel.

Excuse me for veering off at a massive tangent, but you might like to have a look at THIS

It's one of those text-to-movie cartoons that transcribes an actual debate that took place on a BMW forum, where two contributors debate the merits of diesel v. petrol cars.

It reminds me why I'm a 2CV fan.

When reversing try holding the steering wheel at the bottom, rather than the top, it makes it easier. Though as 602 says big trailers are easier than tiddy ones.

Yep. 45' tri axle HGV trailer = easy. 6' single axle car trailer = bloody impossible.

The little LAMA box trailer we use for camping from time to time is an absolute nightmare! It's so short, narrow and low, that by the time it appears in any of your mirrors it's jacknifed! The other annoying thing is that if you meet anyone on a narrow road with it, they don't see it and therefore assume that you should be doing the reversing to let them past! It's *just about* controllable with a small flag stuck on the back, but only just. Give me a car transporter or a catering trailer any day!

Get down to Oulton! Well done man. I wasn't boasting when I said I passed first time, I've only sold 4 cars out of the 50+ I've bought, most got written off or scrapped.

Russ higgs: 3pts sp30 speeding and a section 59 dangerous driving.

Best of luck...
