Re: The O/T thread! Yes! I know the standard response to anyone complaining is, "If you don't like it why don't you volunteer/contribute?" but in this case, if the only people who write in are droning on and on about their excursions to France, then that's all that's going to be printed!
Tell it how it was, vomit and all. Either that, or try and make it as dull as possible..!

Tell it how it was, vomit and all...! If the article was written from the angle of "there are hundreds of young people who adore the A-series as much as you (oldies), and this is the kind of thing we do..." I think the magazine would be delighted. (I'm just guessing, here, I have nothing to do with 2CVGB in spite of being a member, and I find the magazine a bit, err, beige.) Think you could "write around" the issues of vomit and condoms and bottoms and stuff (write about them in such a way that those in the know will understand what you're on about, while those that aren't won't be offended).

So I was just over 17 at the time and driving a rather beat up Morris 1000. So here is the trivia:-
I was paying 6/2d that's 6 shillings and two old pence for a gallon of petrol [4.56 litres].
6 shilling and 2 pence is equivalent to 32p.
So that's 32p for a gallon
or 7p a litre.
