Carried out some MOT prep on my blue and white 2cv and sent it off to Exeter for the test. When back she'll be for sale so if anybody knows someone who's after a 2cv, I'll have a scruffyish but perfectly usable one here!

Someone emailed me and asked if I knew of one for sale today. I've asked how much she wants to spend but she hasn't replied yet. If you tell me a bit more about yours, I'll pass it on, and/or you can advertise it on my website if you like, (but I'm not allowed to advertise my website here, so pm me for details).

Overtook an Aston Martin on the M4 - needle wedged against the plastic rod and 77mph on the satnav.

Checked the fuel hoses and most of the so called good quality ones are fine as long as straight, if curved the outside wall has split. Changed the bad ones -

Can someone help - I need some 8mm copper pipe about 150mm length, I can buy metres of the stuff in the UK but only need small bit.

The Shetland climate had taken its toll on my trusty 2CV, so about a month ago I brought it down to Worcester to get some TLC from Peter Cross at Tibberton. I returned to Worcester at the weekend to spend a week or two down here before returning to Shetland with the car. All the cold starting issues have gone, it starts quickly and easily and no nasty noises from the starter motor. Amazing what some warm weather can do. Looking forward to taking it 'home'.

Great day for open top driving so decided to leave the Evoque at home and thrash the bejesus out of it across the Peak District to see a customer north of Sheffield - great fun and, my, Mintex pads smell a lot when hot but they don't half still keep braking without fading even when given some proper punishment - well impressed with them and would recommend to all - v cheap off Ebay. Got a wave from an Austin Healy going the opposite way near Ashbourne which was nice and thumbs up from some youths there too.....
