 Re: What did you do with your A Series today? Took the car to Sutton Coldfield as I was meeting a friend for lunch - hood down on the way back and removed the seats ready for the trip to pick up the engines for Sam Fieldhouse on Saturday

I did go out in my little van today but I also took my 4L back to the paint shop to get its doors etc. Left it there so on the way back with an empty trailer I stopped off at this house with 2 Ami 8s sitting in the garden. Also the 2CV scrap body below. The guy will sell the Ami 8 which is in not too bad condition and starts but a few holes in the floor, trashed seating/headliner and tatty body work but looks solid. He wants €1500 but I did not counter offer just yet - what is the market price for a crappy Ami 8 these days  While all this was going on the farmer over the road was shouting at me. I just waved him off until I actually understood what he was saying "YOUR RENAULT TRAFIC AND YOUR TRAILER HAVE ROLLED OFF DOWN THE HILL" Oh flying F$%K - I ran down the road to find it through another fence and in a ditch. Just a tiny scratch and load of soil in the hub cap...... phew!!  That is all I needed. I think he said I could have the 2CV for €50...... or was it €500, I always mix those numbers up  Attachment:

I love my old fashioned blanket - Its great and cost me 20p from a jumble sale Anyhow - Yesterday I took my Dad to the bank in the 2CV. After he got his fingers trapped in the window, couldnt open the door, nor find the seat belt he simply said "this car is fu*king weird"Today, I'll be going to Walsall in the 2CV to get some stuff for Sam Fieldhouse
