First meeting is always a good turnout, you just need to keep hold of them. Good luck and when I'm down in the area I'll pop along.

Brought a chassis back. 140 miles. No worries.

On a similar theme, I had a new ICE installation today... but only as far as the tip:

Just went to get fuel for mine as my "modern" failed the MOT.

I stopped for fuel and this really tall bloke who seemed to be folded/crushed into a Daewoo Matiz shouted out the window as I walked past "Oi love, lovely car, dont ever see them anymore, does it have the funny gear change? I'd love one of those, look after it"

Then I went past a primary school the little kids looked and shouted - closely followed by waves all round :) Looking forward to using it over the next few days in the sunshine

Shetland's had the warmest day so far this year, so I popped down to Lerwick in the 2CV with the hood open. It has got very chilly now the sun's gone down, so the drive home got very cold in the car. Warming up nicely now I'm back home with the heating on. A good day :-)

Had a thrash at 70mph+ along the A50 and down M1 to see a customer today in the Celeste - thumbs up from a couple of guys in a pick up on M1and waves and devil symbols from school kids on Leicester Ring road! Then the fucking thing wouldn't start for an hour after I stopped for fuel on outskirts of Leicester after cruising in traffic - bolloxed coil do we think? Anyway, eventually started whilst I was on phone with GEM to arrange recovery and managed to get home OK.....

Clocked up it's 10,000th mile since it's been back on the road (since August) :D

Good effort!

Today I had the roof right back, first time this year and so welcome. Changed oil and fitted new (copper cored) Bosch plugs and greased king pins and half-shafts. Runs sweet now.

Gave it the first wash of the year but stopped short of applying wax as I was lacking cloth to polish it.
