Re: The O/T thread! Anyone else finding firefox has a problem in general? It can't keep up with my (one finger) typing and keeps freezing (going grey and "not responding"). Takes several clicks to open a thread too.

After a while he started going on about the way to solve the so-called "pensions crisis": euthenasia at 70. Genius! The children of these guys will be running the country in 25 years time. It's gonna get scary.

The economically active group of people has to be big enough to look after the young and the old. Also if the population suddenly collapses you end up with worthless economic assets. Houses, factories, machinery etc are only worth something for as long as there are enough people to utilise them.

So what is your solution, continue to polute looking after a growing population. The planet can no longer sustain that many people. Let's start again, back to the past pulling 2cv's with real horsepower
