During the week, I drive a 7.5 tonne truck for a small company in Worcester making formed aluminum components for (mainly) the automotive, aerospace and rail industries. Our major clients include Morgan Motors (we make the front and rear wings for the traditional Morgan roadsters, and the majority of the outer panels for the Aero 8/Aeromax), Aston-Martin, Lamborghini, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Saab Aviation, GKN Aerospace, Airbus, 3M, Bombardier, Martin-Baker....

On the occasional weekend (but soon to become a regular weekend job) I work from home as a Recruitment Advisor for the recently-started family business which is an agency specialising in supplying healthcare staff.

I grew up with mogs, only the three wheeler types. We've had a plus 8 rotting gently in the garage for about 30 now too!

I absolutely adore Mogs, but visiting there three times a week is probably as close as I'll get to owning one.

Like that old Johnny Cash song 'One Piece at a Time', the only way I'd be able to afford one is to sneak bits out of their factory. I would love a 60's Triumph-powered Plus Four, but it's a lottery win away I'm afraid.

I was there the day they took the final delivery of Rover V8's for the Plus 8, nowadays as I'm sure you know the 3-litre DOHC 24V V6 from Ford is the powerplant of choice. Good, but not the same.

The plus 8 in the garage was my mom's favourite car ever, but that is a big lottery win away too, if its even salvageable at all .
