Not remotely wanting to tread on anyone's toes, but the domain 'international2cvfriends.co.uk' is currently available. I hardly have any knowledge of how websites are run, but it doesn't seem too complicated to set something up. The hosting fees I'm sure could be covered by a paypal donate 'biscuit jar' type approach. I agree there's far too much useful information here for it to be lost. I'm short on both money and time myself, but if no one else has a solution I'll tentatively put up my paw.

Perhaps the interested parties might like to fire an email my way? I've already agreed to 'hand over' the website but will put those who expressed an interest here in touch with those I've already talked to.

Now Russel please tell me what is going on in your mind.... We are discussing the closure of the forum here 3 pages long and suddenly a message from you pops up... You have already made an agreement to hand over the site.. WTF Russel.. My opinion. I don't believe you anymore and my vote goes to a new forum with new people. Sorry Russel...

International2cvFriends.com is registered in Russ's name. There should be no problem arranging transfer of it.
AIUI, the logic behind using .com rather than .co.uk can be found in the first thirteen letters of the domain name itself.
As well as Reb's offer above, and whatever LPGO might or might not want, Russ and I have had an expression of interest from somebody who wants to remain anonymous. So... looks like the forum is safe, anyway, and we just need to work out details.
