Was going to rest the 2CV yesterday but we're enjoying such nice weather up here at the moment that I couldn't resist. Been nice for over a week now and again today, so might just drag it out for a spin again today.

3rd day on the trot. Off to the shops in him. No issues at all. starts on a single pull, perfect.

Should have fixed my dynamo months ago..... If I had known there was a problem...... Just thought an old 2 2cv was like that ;)

Joined in the Fils de Vitesse Duck Race and picnic this Sunday, in Farnham Surrey. Great to see so many but the picnic was held indoors due to the inclement weather. Sorry, no plastic duck pictures lol.

It's been 10 days since I parked him up, and then a combination trips out with friends, days off &housework and car-sharing with colleagues meant that I haven't used him since and he was in danger of having stuff plonked on top of him in the garage.
Anyway, sorted that today when I came home from work (in a borrowed Vauxhall): I checked the oil, checked the screenwash, checked the lights, fired him up, fixed the driver's mirror in place (gaffer tape) and re-fitted the heater pipes (which had been removed for the summer) Also tidied out the back and loaded up with some bits for the Wye Knots group.
I shall be trundling into work in him tomorrow morning at 6 o'clock and then heading off straight after to the Tarrington Arms for dinner and the aforementioned meeting.

Fitted an in-line heater blower, made a right pigs ear of it, will do it again properly next weekend when I've got some new heater pipes.

fitted a blade fuse holder 8 way so 4 spare bays for the electronics and perhaps the headlamps , also fitted a flip switch ignition and a push button start

going to re fit the rear window as it seems to have pulled the frame due to the hatch back and has started dripping - goes away in the garage after a good hot run sometime soon

really does start "on the button " now :D

Jumped up and down on the front bumper a few times. The bonnet hadn't been shutting right, and looked a bit "up" when it was shut. I initially thought the chassis might be starting to sag, but then I realised that somebody's obviously nudged the front bumper up a touch when parking. The method described in the first sentence has restored everything to how it should be.

Took the Shed up to Richard Daltons this morning so they can MOT it - hopefully the gods will smile favourably on it and it won't be the usual multiple £100's that it normally costs me.......

Was part of the display at the Foire de Luchon yesterday. A long day sitting around but they fed us which was good. Off to Pay today on a 2CV club outing (our first) to a chateau.
