Nels,
if you ever do another one of those, it makes life a lot easier if that little plate is removed by bending it in the middle.
'Unbend' on refitting... ;)

Replaced front crankshaft oil seal - the original was rock hard and a right twat to get through the hole in the back of the fan cowling and no wonder leaking - then sprayed a few more of the panels in contrasting colours to try and reduce the amount of diarrhoea yellow. Off to The Lamplighters in Cheadle Staffs for a gig in it later tonight - if any one is local they are all welcome!

Drove from Staffordshire to Portsmouth then St Malo to Manot in the Charente. Only problem was at 80k short the wipers jammed. The drivers side being the culprit :-( Without the and blade fitted they worked Ok,so re- positioned the passenger side to wipe a central area and drove on thankful that the rain clear coating I'd used helped the rain blow off the screen.

Wipers sorted drivers side very stiff drop arm link caused the support frame to twist and jamb. All bent straight and well lubricated. Note to self must lub more often :-)
