Used the 2CV to get to work yesterday, was a nice drive in with the hood open. I'm looking to use it to get to work again today.

Taken more than a week, so I could never make money from this.
Repaired rear floor and fitted the sill.
Didn't replace the floor as its not that bad.

Came across a small 2cv reunion today. They were driving down to Le Mont Saint Michel. Lovely 1950 original 2cv. After a few interest in the small nipple on my bonnet I opened it to show them the engine. Had everyone asking me questions and in my poor French tried to explain how it works, top speed, kms/litre etc....... Lots of interest in ECAS oil filler etc. Had to take the lid out to show the reed valve... Wrote down more than 3 times ECAS email address for people..........

Replaced front crankshaft oil seal - the original was rock hard and a right twat to get through the hole in the back of the fan cowling and no wonder leaking - then sprayed a few more of the panels in contrasting colours to try and reduce the amount of diarrhoea yellow. Off to The Lamplighters in Cheadle Staffs for a gig in it later tonight - if any one is local they are all welcome!
