Sparky's MOT tomorrow morning...

PASS!

Advisories on one driveshaft gaiter "loose" and kingpin "wear" (they seemed fine when I grease 'em a mile earlier). The usual shenanigans getting foglight, one sidelight to work beforehand. But, after two and a bit years in a lockup, a result.

Just dawned on me that he never mentioned the French-style plates on it, either.

Fitted a new exhaust, I thought I'd done a good thorough job of it, but it's blowing a touch either end of the torpedo, despite using exhaust paste. Will redo it tomorrow

I also fitted new seat rubbers and new seat foams, with an additional topper of super squidgy luxury memory foam. Much plumptuosness :)

Don't use exhaust paste, use a good smear of coppaslip.

Warren,
best to avoid exhaust paste, I reckon.
Wrap the end of each pipe which fits inside another with insulating tape, brush them over with Copaslip and don't overtighten the 38mm U clamps.

The tape will help the joint to seal, also allows the parts to be separated easily, such as when you need to replace the swan neck (which will be the first part to fail).

Fitted an old cd radio player into the shed today as well as replacing split grease nipple and tried to put bolts in to hold up cross box - found why there are none there......the right sized bolts courtesy of Roy, don't fit properly - the sockets in the gearbox are too large and obviously have become enlarged over time - suppose need retapping and putting helicoil in them....Off for a gig in it again in Newcastle later on.....
