Recalling Ian Brown earlier must have lead to my sticking on a Stone Roses CD this morning. The opening rift of "Made of Stone" transported me back to the '90's, while the era defining track 'Fools gold' is as good today as it's ever been - happy days. 8-)

One of my all time favourite albums.

Lots of favourite tracks from this band; "Elephant stone", "This is the one" & off the Second coming album "Breaking into heaven"

I may have to fish both albums out this afternoon! 8-)

The old timers say that if you remember the 1960's then you weren't 'there', and all they really had back then was Bob Dylan and a bit of waccy baccy.

The 90's Manchester scene which was a combination of tracks like 'Fools gold', while (allegedly) dropping 'E''s and snorting Charlie took some beating. In Manchester back then, some folk where close to the edge, while others had no friggin' idea where the edge was...look at Bez.

What a character he is - if you haven't read it already, you could do a lot worse than read his book "Freaky Dancing". Some eye opening stories in there, that's for sure!

Another band from the same era that i was pretty fond of at the time was The La's. They sadly didn't achieve the recognition they deserved.

I worked in Manchester throughout the 90's Neil, I witnessed most of it. ;) I loved the 90's, I was in my 30's, fit as a fiddle and mad as a hatter, perfect time to live. The DJ at our club used to play 'White lines' by Grandmaster flash and dedicate it to the doorstaff. That and 'Ebeneezer goode'.

Cheaper, but 602cc and Dyane based. I disike Dyanes, and feel I need a 425cc. Never had one see. Although if cheap enough and good enough I could be convinced.

Anything like that knocking about your area Viking?

I think it's safe to say I will never be rich.

Nothing I'm afraid, not even around France. The 2CV Van ripple bonnet are hard to find + cost an arm and a leg. A wreck is around 1500 euros and upwards. What about the UK, the red Belgium AZU sold quickly?
