Adjusted the clutch cable and gave it a test.

Seems to be juddering on start off - kangarooing. Adjusting the cable has made it a little better but still very aggressive when engaging the clutch.... but not all the time ??

Could be oil on the clutch plate.

hmmm, quite possible as I do have a small oil leak. Not sure from where just yet.

I am assuming the only way to check is to take the engine out ?

Changed over the wiper blades which I received from 2CViking today (Webshop works ;) ).

Not sure even the new one will be very efficient but they are nice and shiny and nearly ready for the weekend. First 2CV & Solex outing for us at the Bassin d'Arcachon. Hope the weather holds as it is 3 nights in a tent :o

Nice. Club run perchance? Ami wheels look really smart.

This is one place I've got on my 'to do' list.

Sammy Millers museum is also well worth a visit, too, with the added bonus of it being in the New Forest.

We went to see Sparky this morning...

<hangs head in shame>
...for the first time since we got back in October.

The tax disc in the windscreen expired in October '10. The battery still has some charge - it's been sat with earth lead unplugged - but only just enough for the starter to chatter a couple of times then grind around once. With the jumpbox on, it spins happily, and fuel can be seen bubbling through the filter, but not even a cough. It's on points & condenser, so the points may just have stuck or need a clean.

...once I've cleared all the Allegro doors & wheels from around it... <lightly puzzled grin>

Yes, Thames Tortoises sunday trip. Second one of the year, and it's snowed both times! The AK isn't mine, but my mechanics (Pete Simper). My blue special is hidden at the end of the row. Jerry who organised the trip is a custodian at the museum and has the El Cid. He's also just joined the website so may be along to say hello sometime.
