Re: The O/T thread! It has been genuinely heartwarming, although my cynical side can't help finding it odd that if they hadn't been trapped down there, instead merely carrying on working long shifts in dangerous conditions, no one in the world would have given a bugger about their welfare one way or another.

Re: The O/T thread! Good job they didn't get stuck down a British mine. George Osborne would have made them stay down there as part of the government's much-needed austerity measures.

I blame laziness and/or poor planning. What were miners doing without shovels? if they had shovels, why not start digging?
