I love your plan, Old Nail. And I hope a book becomes part of it too ;)

Never heard this before, but I like it, and think it works well for 2cvers: "A determined soul will do more with a rusty monkey wrench than a loafer will accomplish with all the tools in a machine shop."~Robert Hughes.

Problem is, I'm a loafer with a rusty monkey wrench. Explains almost everything.

Oh, and for Twitterers, this guy is worth a look: http://twitter.com/#!/CitroenTechTips

The last one links to one of those browser things that won't let you off, why do they do that?

I dunno :(

And it's a lot more annoying than just the pita of having to close the window and reopen. It's the sheer presumptuous arrogance of whoever sets it up. Grrrrr.

I often feel that way about pop-ups when they appear. Imagine somebody breaking into my house jumping about with a big sequinned sparkly suit on telling me I need to buy something I've got no need or desire for. What cretin thought I'd be interested? Does anybody ever click on pop-ups? Is there a breed of people who like them? do they sit there waiting for them to buy whatever shite jumps up on thier screen?

Grrrr. I'm such a grumpy old man.

I hate the way Google monitors your browsing so that you now get bombarded with ads for the very products that you've been looking at recently. It's too spooky.

Just sent a couple of months researching a new TV and recorder for my in-laws. Panasonic's Plasma sets seem to set the standard in the sub-£1k market at least, so I passed on this info. Almost a fait accompli, when I then read a number of reviews which pointed out that Panasonic - in their staggering wisdom - decided to use Gemstar (or something) for their on-screen TV guide instead of the freely available Freeview+ and - guess what - the program listings are accompanied by a sizeable advertising banner taking up nearly a quarter of the screen...

F***EDY, F***EDY, F***EDY, F**K! The sheer ARROGANCE!!! How DARE they!!!

(Still bought it tho' - woooaaah, what a pic...)
