I've been thinking about the idea of somehow fitting a splitter with the bumper, in this sort of style.

Or at least with the over-riders.

I quite like that idea Limes, using a racing spoiler under a stock bumper?

In a word, aye.
I don't know how easy it would be to fit or how much it would stick out under the bumper. Could even be fitted to the bottom of the bumper to be lower, as the bumper hides the bottom of the bonnet and wings mostly. (and the knee is conneted to the, thigh bone...) Hmm.

I see where you're coming from, maybe the spoiler would need to be deeper or the bumper made narrower?

I forgot that the ideas were for the rear bumper to start with. :D

At first I was thinking maybe move the bumper up a bit but then you probably wouldn't be able to open the bonnet. And keeping just the ends of the bumper stuck on the wings would be too fragile I guess.

A deeper splitter would look best I think but it would be easier to find a slimmer bumper.

You could just cut the middle section out, that's the most interesting bit of the splitter anyway, there's not so much of it to see on the sides.

Been thinking about it for a week or so, quite fancy the idea myself, but I've got a bigger problem of a lack of car. :(

OFF OFF OFF! the rear of a saloon looks great with out a bumper, if your worried about being shunted up the rear, id be tempted to get some angle iron and fit to the chassis just behind the body so its hidden out of view and reinforced at the same time.

Or to give you a little extra protection if yo utook 'em off, I wonder if you could fabricate some T-bars? It's subtle and would look pretty unique on a 2cv...
