My 2 bits....
It requires the User Name and Password for the site Administrator and the correct URL.

FYI
I guess it is running on unsupported software with no fees, thus asking www.phpbb.com will be met with......
Pay your upgrade fee, to run on the latest supported/secure version and they will help.

Who set it up originally? Isn't it just something you can update from the Admin control panel?
