Post Re: 2CV Automatic Transmission/Semi Auto Transmission
there was a topic about this a while ago on 2cv.nl: http://forum.2cv.nl/viewtopic.php?t=594 ... t=automaat

I guess you don't understand dutch, but google translate might be your friend :) and otherwise one of the Duchies here might be able to help wit translating the most important things.

main things I filter out of the topic in a couple of minutes:
- pneumatic clutch operated by button on the gear lever
- option, use a 2cv gearbox with centrifugal clutch and a pneumatic operated normal clutch
- combine VW beetle auto gearbox (combined torque converter and normal clutch) with 2cv gearbox
- GS C-matic box (with engine??) easier to do in GB then in the rest of the EU (laws)
- click and go system (universal conversion kit to replace clutch pedal) http://www.modacq.nl/ one guy build this in his mehari and is using it for 6 years now without problems
http://savoiacars.com/ they clam to make/have a automatic for 2-3 2cv cars. several people contacted these guys, but seemingly they only want to sell only 1 40 foot container full at a time...

- for power brakes use a mini power brake (or parts of it)

that's all I could find for now, anyone feel free to add/ correct :)

greetzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

There were a number of 2cv cross cars with automatic clutches that disengaged when the gear lever was touched. I took some photos which I will upload today. Clever stuff.
