can't decide whether that's a rare patch of shiny stuff on the chassis, or a F-off hole? I suspect the latter :(

That's shot to shit though. Shame.

Wow. That is pretty bad. In a way it's actually worse than my van was as at least mine was virgin material (what was left of it) - with this one you'd have to spend ages working out what was glenn miller and what was metal.

So... it looks to me like it has had a good few years off the road just sat outside and just crumbled away. A real shame for such a rare van.

I've seen worse put back on the road (Max had it!) but I agree-it's a crying shame that's been just left to fester.

Fingers crossed someone will save it.

Neil,
out of curiousity, did you take any more photographs, in particular any around the front or rear end of the chassis?
Reason for asking is that I reckon the van may have been dropped onto an early Ami chassis at some time in the past.

The suspension cans look as though they don't run down towards the back as much as they should on a van chassis.
There's a stray 'J' clip showing on one of the outriggers in a position that's impossible for a bolt to be installed under a van body.
Also some evidence that the rear arms have been 'modified' to van type, if I'm not mistaken... :?

Having spent a few weeks recently on an aks400 and recalled just how many corners there are available to rust on a van, it would be quite a labour of love to resurrect that poor old girl.

Now you mention it, I think you're right Ken, maybe a complete Early Ami8 chassis/running gear? It looks to have the 'supercharger' pipe on the airbox? Is it me or do the rear wheels not fit in the arches quite right?
