Stop safely? You could just blow forwards and the things would go backwards
I had an urge a year or two ago and bought a 1964 3800 (or 3300 cant remember) ,although its not about speed or power and i'm used to 60,70mph capable scooters i enjoyed pottering around on it but the novelty soon wore off ,i had to pedal it anyway at the slightest hint of an incline and i got overtaken by a bicycle while going downhill flat out
