I will probably have to get another engine rebuilt and kept handy just in case this goes badly. As soon as it on, and working the BX is ready for pickup lol. M

Re: Not 2CV related but.. It will go fine, its a 2 stroke, not so many moving parts to go wrong  Just let me know when you want BX gone mate, I'll hop on the train

Re: Not 2CV related but.. Well, if you wanna do it this way, make the BX pick up day a weekend, i will come down and help out with the wartberg (im not bringing my tools on the train though ) then when its working i can drive home. Sorted.

Re: Not 2CV related but.. Spoke to the specialist and he has confirmed it was 12 Thou of an inch that's been skimmed.
Phew!
Then he told me how bad the waterpump was and how he'd rebuilt it and then proceeded to tell me what a bloody pillock I was for forgetting which way round the heater return and header tank pipes connect up. I like this man, he's a proper engineer. Not one of these fitters you get these days.
