Establishing a database of handy pdfs.
A friend and I were discussing last night the plethora of guides and pdfs we have found after they would have been useful, including among other things useable wiring diagrams (rather than the haynes weejie board), and gearbox rebuilding guides.
Naturally we ended feeling we should try and produce some form of database of these for other peoples use, considering most of the pdfs we have accumulated are getting rather old are there likely to be any copyright issues with making them readily available?
Ultimately it would be nice to have some form of directory on a website to list such things, but for the meantime a publicly available zip archive on dropbox is the best we have come up with, though I am hesitant to put the link up without being certain I'm not going to put my foot in a legal hole.
On another note does anyone have any useful pdfs or suchlike they would like to share?

I think this would benefit our forum to have such a database here, I'm not sure how to set such a thing up, I don't really understand about PDF files, but I guess we could create a subforum on the technical bit and put it there?

Many thanks.
I'll try to get as much as possible in one place and then see how big it is.
Theoretically (files owners not minding) one could link to a zip archive of the lot on dropbox, and providing it was no more than 2gigabytes dropbox would deal with the bandwidth issues.

Re: Establishing a database of handy pdfs.
you need an online sharing thingy, i have one which I am happy to use to upload everything (it costs me but I dont mind!) I use Rapidshare, so it would all be on rapidshare, you wouldnt be able to view them unless you downloaded them, i dont think, i could possibly set them up so that you could view before you download, i could them make a topic in the tech sec which made a sticky, and go from there?
