Post Re: Mileage
Wasn't it in a field for a few years or something though? I reckon anything that's been standing for a long period is gonna be a lot less reliable than something that's been servicable all it's life. Might just be talking bull though, as I can think of lots of cases where that isn't the case at all.

It's more likely to be because late 2CVs were made of the stuff that was too thin to make foil out of. :)

Yup ;)

mine had a tree growing through the boot floor, and its been good for 10 yrs and its doubled its mileage since. Its just a case of making the important stuff as good as new and preventative maintenance rather than the commonly held "dont fix it if it aint broke"

About 4-5,000 in the 2cv van ,rest of the average about 12-13,000 miles spread over 3 old scooters (vespa, lambretta, maicoletta) and a bx diesel estate .

Buy it, import it and make a profit. We live in a free market economy.

It can't possibly be my failing brain. I blame the interweb

Although, whilst I'm admitting to be olderr than a 20 something; is it really a good idea to admit to intending to have a limited mileage policy and multiple speedos on a public forum?
